We'd just walked over the hills from Yetholm and were welcomed warmly with a delicious lunch at an excellent price. Thanks again, we'll definitely be back soon!

The food and service were great, and it had a lovely community atmosphere. We went for dinner, not a room. They'd only opened a week earlier under new management, and dinner was very good with generous portions.

The staff were lovely and quick to help. Our TV wasn't working when we arrived, so I went down to ask about it. A staff member came up the stairs right away, fixed it and apologized. The room itself was amazing, with a really nice bathroom and great beds. The free breakfast tasted amazing, though I found the serving a bit small. That's my only criticism, and if you like a smaller breakfast, it's a good place to eat. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful, and my girlfriend and I had a very nice stay. We came from the south east of England a few weeks ago, and we're heading back to Scotland next year. We'll definitely stay here again if we do.

I chose the place for Edge music festival and had a really comfortable break. The rural feel made it peaceful and relaxing, and everything was spotless and well kept. Breakfast was simple but very nice, and the staff made the stay even better with how friendly and welcoming they were.

We had a lovely, relaxing long weekend and a nice change of scenery. Allan, the minehost, and all the staff looked after us from the moment we arrived right through to when we left.
