The rooms were cleaner than most Premier Inns I’ve stayed in before, with comfortable beds and decent space. Parking was a pain in my larger van, though. Restrictions on parking and vehicle height meant I had to leave it about 10-15 minutes away. The staff more than made up for that. I was here for two work nights and felt welcome the whole time. Alice and Rowan were great at dinner, even on the busier second night, when the service stayed just as attentive. I saw them calmly handle some customers who were making a fuss and seem to sort things out. James cooked a tasty, if messy, bacon and cheese burger the first night, then a great gammon steak the next. The desserts were lovely, especially the pancakes. I didn’t get the morning staff’s names, but they were just as helpful, including with people who hadn’t had a Premier Inn breakfast before. Looking forward to coming back in a few weeks.

This place was especially welcoming, and the room was so peaceful. Clean, comfortable bed, blackout curtains and a strong shower, which was everything we needed. The location was great too. There’s a restaurant on site, but we went out to try some of the local little gems. I do like how consistent Premier Inn is.

The hotel is cheap and convenient, but I keep telling myself I won’t come back. This time I may have to stick to that. The whole place smells strongly of something stale, like cigarettes, though when I mention it nobody else seems to notice. Maybe they’ve got used to it. I don’t think it’s actually cigarettes. It seems to come from the air conditioning, and it’s so overpowering that it woke me in the night. Turning the air-con off didn’t get rid of it. After just one night, all the clothes in my bag smelled of it. It’s everywhere, in the rooms and corridors.

The location was excellent, just a short walk from the station and close to plenty of shops and restaurants. My partner and I stayed for two nights. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the staff very helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

Cheryl was fantastic and really looked after us. The service was brilliant, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the food was well cooked. Great location too. We’ll definitely stay again.
