We had a brilliant night, especially joining in the pub quiz. There were four of us, all female bikers, staying here. The staff and locals made us feel very welcome, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was great. A lively country atmosphere too. Thanks to Ben and the team, would thoroughly recommend.

The jazz night was a great extra when we visited. It’s a dog-friendly pub with a lovely atmosphere, good food, and staff who were warm and welcoming.

A really nice country pub, with great food and service and decent parking. Just be ready for the road on the way there. I can’t see how it counts as an A road, and it’s a bit of a shock if you’re expecting a quiet country drive. That has nothing to do with the pub itself, just a heads-up.

We were on holiday nearby and stopped in while passing through. I had a Sunday lunch platter with beef, pork and ham, and my partner went for ham, egg and chips. Both plates were delicious. Highly recommended.

As far as I can tell, this was once a nice pub. Then almost all the staff changed, and overnight it turned into a strict rulebook of a place.
