The young staff were welcoming and incredibly efficient, and both the roasts and desserts were superb. They even had a gluten-free option, which convinced us all to order dessert too. We'd been let down by a place with the same name in a nearby town, so this was a very welcome find. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

The food was the best we've had in a long time. We ate here both nights, and breakfast was amazing too, setting us up for the whole day. The menu has a good choice of classic, homemade, fresh pub food, and we loved it. We'd just got back from a winter weekend break and already want to stay again soon. The location was perfect for walking, with trails right on the doorstep, so being able to leave the car was great. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed a chat with the locals in the bar on Saturday evening. We'll definitely be back.

Parking in the car park was tight, but the warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff more than made up for it. It's good for dog lovers, and that real log fire made the bar feel like the place to be. The country pub is cosy and very friendly, with a restaurant-sized dining area and a reasonably good menu. Portions are generous enough for hungry diners.

We were staying nearby at Sandwarth Farm Glamping and came in for dinner. I chose the salmon and my partner had the beef pie. Both were great, with big portions and loads of flavour. A friendly atmosphere and very good prices too. What a find!

They fitted us in for a family meal even though we booked late that day. It's a traditional English pub and dog friendly. The homemade lasagna was a treat, and the Parmo chicken with Mexican toppings was excellent. The children's meals were good value and came in large portions. We'll be back next time we're passing.
