We slept peacefully despite being right beside the busy M74, and the bed was super comfortable. Our room had loads of space and everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, including at the restaurant and morning coffee shop, where they took care with personal requests. The menu had plenty of choice without feeling overwhelming, and the food was cooked perfectly and very enjoyable. It’s a great family-run hotel and business. I couldn’t fault anything about our stay. We’ll be back soon, and I’d recommend it for a peaceful night away.

I first tried the restaurant after it came under new management and was really impressed, a huge improvement on the previous owner. My main course was delicious. I went back on Thursday 28th May for a drink and cake in the cafe. The owners’ mum had made the cake herself, and it was simply wonderful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

We met up with new friends here for a family dinner and couldn’t fault a thing. The staff were very helpful and the service was excellent. There’s a varied menu with something for everyone, and the Sunday roasts are first class. Highly recommend.

The sticky toffee pudding was delicious, and the portion was just right. I also liked the tasty touch of ice cream served in a brandy snap basket. We stopped for a meal on our way south from Mull and were pleasantly surprised by the food. It had been a while since I’d had freshly made onion rings, which I prefer to frozen ones, and proper chips. The staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant only.

The owners and staff were an absolute delight, and the food was so tasty and fresh. I had a Croque Monsieur, alcohol-free beer, coffee and Bakewell tart. Delicious! I loved this place and will definitely come back to try the evening menu. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.
