We often pull in here to charge our EV on the way to Cornwall, and it's a clever little business. The deli and cafe are lovely, with plenty of tea, coffee and cake, always brought over with a smile. They make the 40-minute charging stop pass pleasantly. We haven't tried the rooms or the fishing shop, so can't comment on those. One small thought: tea this good deserves a teapot. A bag left in a mug makes it too strong, in my opinion.

We live nearby, so haven't stayed overnight, but we love coming here. The food is lovely, and the staff are so friendly. We enjoy sitting in the lounge before and after eating. The gardens are lovely too, though they're really a summertime pleasure.

The Tesla superchargers were very handy for us, and the app worked fine on my Vodafone phone. Just keep an eye on overstay charges if more than half the chargers are in use. We only stopped briefly for a meal, and while it was tasty, our sea bass and vegetarian aubergine dish weren't especially filling. Service was excellent, attentive and very pleasant. The hotel has the feel of a traditional old inn, with a big, comfortable lounge.

We pulled in to charge the car and found a lovely spot. The front-of-house team were so helpful, especially Luke and Tracey. Tea and scones by the log fire, with a great atmosphere.

We came for the Tesla charger and had breakfast in the pub. Friendly, welcoming service for us and the dog, plus good food. A perfect pause to recharge ourselves and the car!
