Poole Farm

We visited in our motorhome a couple of weeks ago, and we're still talking about it. The welcome was lovely, and the site is beautifully laid out and presented. There were thoughtful extras too, like towels and soap in the shower room. Another hut had basic groceries, homemade jams, chutneys and pickles, plus food options in case you'd forgotten a meal. Fresh croissants and meals could be brought to your van, with other tempting choices as well. We've never stayed on a site like this. It's magic, and definitely one to revisit.

Rufus the dog was quite a character! We loved every moment of our stay. The hosts gave us such a warm welcome that it felt like home, and it's set a high bar for future stays. I highly recommend it and hope to come back soon. Ben & Charlotte

I was shocked to be charged an extra £27 for an additional guest, even though we'd booked a room with a king-size bed for two. We arrived late and were leaving early the next morning, so we knew we wouldn't have breakfast. I could have understood the charge if breakfast was included, though even then £27 for breakfast seems very expensive.

This is our second time at this CL, and we've been delighted with the owners and the site on both visits. The five pitches are very well kept, with water, EHU and grey waste at each one. The shower room and separate toilet are warm and immaculate, and the dog wash with its waist-height shower and dryer is thoughtfully set up. The owners go further still, with meals delivered to your caravan and frozen food in their shop and washing hut, which also has a washer and dryer. It's a special CL that deserves its awards. Thank you, Gregg and Lou. Staying here is a genuine pleasure, and we'll return.
