The Jamaica Inn

The staff made our short stay feel special, and the receptionist who helped when our car wouldn't start the next morning deserves a particular thank you. She was patient, kind and really helpful. We were welcomed warmly at the end of January, and our room was clean and well prepared. The food was lovely, with a great range at breakfast. We enjoyed the atmosphere and all the place has to offer, and couldn't fault the stay. Everyone at the hotel was polite and more than helpful.

We stayed in one of the haunted rooms, and it was beautiful, from the furniture to the warm welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they made my birthday meal delicious and the day feel special. Highly recommended.

We booked a table for Sunday on our way back from Cornwall to Somerset, and had a roast here. The meat and vegetables were tasty and well prepared, and the food came out very quickly. Everyone on staff was warm and welcoming. We also looked around the museum and gift shop. We've recommended it to others and will definitely book another visit with people.

We didn't see any ghosts this time, perhaps luckily! The rest of our overnight stay at the Jamaica Inn was spot on. It's very dog friendly, and they even had a dog welcome pack. The Beast of Bodmin breakfast was really filling, and the food was excellent. What stood out most was the team, from the warm check-in to the friendly, attentive bar staff. They all went out of their way to make us feel at home. A charming place with plenty of character. We'll be back!
