Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre

We arrived late in the evening, and it was great that the sofa bed was already made up. The room was clean and had everything you'd expect from a fancier hotel. I loved the shower and the Dove body wash and shampoo. Breakfast was buffet style with lots to pick from, especially for the two boys aged 14 and 16. Staff were friendly and kept everything topped up. I really enjoyed the Cumberland sausages! We'd never been to Leeds and used Google Maps to walk the roughly 20 minutes to the Inn, as we wanted to see more of the city despite a bus going past. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Leeds. Great value for money.

Everyone we met at the hotel was kind and lovely, and the service was fantastic. Our double bed was on the small side, but that wasn't a big deal since we'd booked a standard room. Parking was reasonably priced, though it could be cheaper, but it's hard to complain given the other hotel parking nearby. The hotel is also close to the city centre.

The staff were fantastic and couldn't do more to help. I'd also thoroughly recommend MyLahore next door for an amazing curry. We were in Leeds for a concert at the First Direct Arena. The hotel isn't close to it, but it was only seven minutes by Uber into the city centre, and I never waited more than five minutes for a car. Of the three HIE hotels we stayed at on this trip, this was the most modern and had the most spacious room. The bathroom had everything needed, including Dove shampoo and body wash. The shower was powerful, and being able to take it off the wall was a big plus for me. Breakfast was just OK: the usual bacon, sausages, eggs and tomatoes, but no pancake machine, which was a shame after seeing one in Stoke on Trent.

Sonya was friendly and helpful, and reception and the bar are open around the clock. Breakfast was very good and included in the price. Excellent value. Holiday Inn Express never fails to impress.
