Premier Inn Leeds East

The car park was spacious and secure. We did have to switch rooms because the first one wasn't satisfactory, but staff took care of it quickly and smoothly. Breakfast was good, and all the women working in that area were awesome. The fire alarm went off randomly a few too many times during the night, but otherwise things were really okay. One small thing to bear in mind: our shower had a fixed overhead head, though I'm not sure if all rooms are like that. I booked online a couple of months ahead for an event. Check-in felt a bit odd, even though the person at the front desk was polite. I hadn't realised they ask guests for their nationality.

The room was clean and pleasant, and I slept well each night. If all you need is a nice clean room to sleep in, this works well. I didn't eat at the restaurant, so I can't say how the food is. When I had an issue, a staff member called Sharon made sure it was sorted. A lift is available, but there's a set of stairs on every floor that takes you down to the hallway where the rooms are. That's frustrating with several suitcases, and could be a problem for someone with limited mobility or a wheelchair. You have to use stairs to reach your room, and I'm not sure why it was designed that way. It may not suit someone who struggles with stairs.

The internet is painfully slow, and that's the one thing I really dislike. Otherwise, the rooms are comfortable, don't creak, and have a modern, minimalist feel. I always sleep really well at Premier Inn. Highly recommend! 💕

The back door didn't open when I scanned my room key, and there was no notice saying it was out of use. Breakfast is served in a small dining area in the Premier Inn rather than a separate restaurant, though there's a restaurant next door for evening meals. It's a standard Premier Inn, with no major problems, but we were woken around 8am by a loud vibrating noise on floor 2. We could hear it in the corridor too.
