The staff were nice, and the house was within walking distance, about 20-30min, of everywhere I needed to go for a couple of days. I was glad the sheets were clean and the mattress had an anti-bedbugs cover. But I can’t imagine the room had been cleaned before I arrived. I’m only attaching one photo of the several toenail clippings the previous visitor left on the floor, and I think it says enough. There was dust everywhere, sticky stains all over the bedside table, hair on the bathroom floor, and makeup stains and hair on the towels. I’m not usually fussy about hotel rooms, and I know a low price means low expectations, but vacuuming between guests should be the bare minimum.

There’s no parking at the property. Further along the road you can park, but only for 3hrs max. The curtains let in all the light, so they don’t darken the room. The place is run down and needs updating and general maintenance. The carpets weren’t hoovered, the shower was dirty, and there was dust and grime on the switches. It was very dirty and unhygienic. Staff don’t care.

The location was handy, just a short walk from a shopping street, and the internet was the fastest I’ve ever seen. It’s free, too. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, just what I wanted. I extended my stay several times at the last minute, and it was never a problem. The owner was incredibly friendly and made sure things were right. After a long trip, he helped me check in earlier. If anything wasn’t perfect, he found a solution straight away. I felt welcome from the start, and the stay was a pleasure. Highly recommended, I’d happily return!

At 3 a.m., my motorcycle was stolen right outside the building. It was only two years old and valued at €27,000. This happened beneath broken, unlit street lamps, after the receptionist had assured us the area was “safe” in barely understandable English. The place itself was awful from the moment we arrived. Our room was dirty, damp, and smelled terrible. The bathroom was neglected, with a filthy toilet. I can’t understand its positive ratings on Booking. Something doesn’t add up. It was disgusting and felt unsafe. I’ve reported it to the local authorities and hope health and safety officials take action. I strongly advise people to look elsewhere. If zero stars were possible, that’s what I’d give.
