We had an amazing value weekend break at the Holiday Inn Leicester. The rooms were large, clean and nicely furnished, with a massive bed. Everyone we met on staff was friendly and happy to offer advice. Breakfast had a good choice of fresh traditional continental and English food, and Francisco was a very smiley, helpful waiter. I'd definitely recommend it for a quality hotel stay at reasonable rates.

My partner and I came this morning to stay overnight, and Erica at reception gave us such a lovely welcome. She had a beautiful smile and was really helpful. Since it was our first time here, we appreciated how much she did for us.

The air con wasn't working, but staff gave us a fan. With the window slightly open and the fan running, we managed to sleep more easily. The hotel was good for one night and the location was handy. Just don't book when there's a match at Leicester city stadium. The woman who checked us in was really good and put us in a room facing away from the stadium.

I spent one night in a room on the 5th floor and woke up with more than 10 huge, itchy bites. There were bed bugs in the room, and the size of the bites makes me think the bugs might have been there a long time. Please check the rooms thoroughly.

The location worked perfectly for what we needed to do in Leicester, and free on-site parking was a bonus. The staff were friendly and the food was good, and the room was as expected. But the air conditioning wasn't working. In July, on the 5th floor, with 3 adults in one room, including a menopausal woman, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. There was one small fan and the window barely opened. I wouldn't recommend staying if the air con isn't working.
