We had a spectacular stay. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The staff greeted us warmly and had made towel swans and scattered rose petals around the bed. I couldn't hear other guests through the walls, which gave us a nice sense of privacy. I really enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back. Thanks to all the lovely staff.

The apartment was spacious, clean and well located in the city centre. It had a comfortable mattress, a nice shower and access to a decent bar downstairs, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I had asked for a quiet room over one on a lower floor, if there was a lift, and was told that could be arranged. There was still a lot of noise from the street and nearby area, with very little soundproofing. Maybe that's hard to avoid in the city centre. The apartment was also incredibly cold, and turning the heating up made no difference. Kitchen facilities were basic: there was a stovetop and microwave, but only one frying pan and one cooking pan, and no toaster, so it's really suited to heating food.

The rooms were clean, the shower was lovely and hot with good pressure, and the kitchenette was a curious extra for cooking your own food. The food was delicious, though the choices were limited. The car park is expensive at £20 for the night, but that's nothing to do with the hotel. It takes around 30-40 minutes to go 12 miles to the office on the outskirts, and I wish it were easier to get out of the city. The area isn't the nicest either. My two female colleagues didn't feel safe walking the five minutes from the car park to the hotel, especially in the dark. Inside, though, it has a calming, relaxing feel, with friendly staff. A special mention for operations manager Dominique, who was incredibly friendly, approachable and flexible about our needs. She made the stay more enjoyable. Many places seem to have forgotten customer service, especially in hospitality, but Dominique clearly understands it and is a real asset. I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

The central location, helpful staff and spacious bedroom made for good value, especially with a microwave, fridge and sink for self-catering. It's a stylish, comfortable, large hotel, with a lift to every floor. Breakfast was good, including avocado and poached egg, though the continental selection wasn't huge. The overhead shower doesn't suit me; I prefer a handheld one. Note that taxis can't stop outside because the street is pedestrianised. Wait at the corner of Belvoir and Market St. The Cathedral, Richard lll and great shops are nearby.

Relaxed but elegant, this bar and restaurant is part of the Gresham Aparthotel in central Leicester. The staff are friendly, and the food is reasonably priced, whether you want light lunch options like small plates or sandwiches, a main meal, or dinner. Breakfast is very good too. I've stayed in the hotel a couple of times, and it's well placed for central Leicester or a drink before a Tigers match.
