Premier Inn Melton Mowbray

The breakfast was good, but the rest of the stay has put me off coming back. I arrived at 13:45 after setting off from Germany at 03:00, even though check-in wasn't until 15:00. The room was ready, but they wanted £15 to let me in early. I won't stay here again or spend money here, and I'll tell the event organisers about this policy and advise them to avoid the hotel. The room was stuffy because the window wouldn't open, and I struggled to sleep. Noise from other rooms also came through due to poor soundproofing.

The staff made our stay wonderful. Edward on the night shift was lovely and helpful, and Rhiannon, I think that was her name, cooked a fresh, really good breakfast. She was warm and helpful too, and nothing seemed like a problem for her. Everyone did all they could for us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was well worth it. We'll stay again.

There was no heating in our room, even though it was 6 degrees outside. We told reception straight away, but were told nothing could be done and there were no other rooms available, so we were left freezing. For what they charge per night, I expected the basics to work. The receptionist's dismissive, unprofessional manner made an already awful situation worse. This Premier Inn was a complete let-down and not worth the money. I won't be returning, and would tell others to drive a few extra miles to somewhere that cares about its guests.

Our annual Christmas party in Melton brings us here for one night, and we've been coming for about 8 years. The rooms are clean and the staff are always amazing. This time, Becky even put pizzas in the oven for us when we got back hungry and rather drunk. BECKY is bloody amazing!
