I hate having to say this because I love Leighton Buzzard, and this used to be our regular place to stay. That’s changed. It’s been declining for years, and now it’s in a terrible state. My room was dirty, the bath and sink were broken, and there was debris floating in the kettle. I was told there were no better rooms, though I know that wasn’t true. The owner showed no concern about any of it and was rude. He was also rude to my mother when she stayed three years ago. Why treat paying guests that way? I found another room around the corner and left. The owner is often absent, and people usually don’t answer the phone. I left the key with a note asking for a reply and a refund, but heard nothing. I’ll file a formal complaint and try to get my money back through bookings.com. Please avoid this place.

I’ve stayed at The Hunt Lodge, Leighton Buzzard in seven different rooms, once with my partner and six times on my own while working down south. Every room was clean and tidy, the temperature was just right, and the beds were comfortable. Booking was quick and easy, with fair prices. The staff are friendly, helpful, professional and accommodating, and the lady who handles bookings is especially good. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had. Highly recommended.

The quiet atmosphere made it easy to relax during my two weeks of a five month work stay at Hunt Lodge. It’s also handy for bars, restaurants and other facilities nearby. After previous accommodation, this was a welcome change. The rooms were spotless, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. I’d happily recommend staying here for a comfortable visit.

I couldn’t check in, and there was no answer when I tried calling in the middle of the evening. Worst hotel I’ve ever tried to stay at. I’m going to ask my bank for a chargeback.
