Our starter came quickly after our 18:00 booking, but then we waited 80 minutes for the main course. A table that arrived after us had time to eat, pay and leave before we were served. The waiter kept coming over with weak excuses. The service was shocking, and I wouldn't recommend eating here unless you've got three hours to spare.

I really like the meals at Caledonian hotel. British food isn't what I'm used to, but someone suggested the Hunter chicken and I enjoyed it. The full breakfast keeps me going for the whole day, too.

The staff were great, and I felt right at home. Nothing was too much trouble. It was good value, with a warm welcome thrown in. I'll be back for another visit soon.

I was here for a work trip to the Energy Park. The food was very good, and my eggs bennie at breakfast was spot on. Room 9 was clean, tidy and spacious, as was the bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was quiet at night, and the extractor or air con hum actually helped me sleep.

We came for a family lunch, and the varied menu worked well for our large group. The food was fine overall. Mine arrived cold, though the others enjoyed theirs.
