There wasn’t room in the car park, but finding a spot nearby on the street was easy. Four of us went to The Lamb for Sunday lunch, and we were glad we did. We all chose roasts, which were exceptional. The pub had a lovely atmosphere without being too busy, and the service was welcoming and friendly. I’d recommend it and will visit again.

We usually go to the lamb in Angmering, so we chose to hire the venue for my daughter’s small, intimate wedding, with just 40 guests. After a beautiful candlelight ceremony at Arundel Town Hall, we went to the lamb for supper by candlelight. The whole evening felt relaxed and memorable. The room was decorated beautifully, the food was wonderful, the rooms were impeccable and breakfast was exquisite. Everyone, from the Manager and chef to the waiting staff, was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond. They’re a real credit to the Newbon family. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

The Lamb at Angmering served some of the best pub food we’ve had. We were 15 family members there for our annual get-together, and had sent in our choices a few days beforehand. The menu was excellent, the food was very good, and the service was first class. Nothing was too much trouble for the efficient staff. Thanks to everyone, we’ll be back and are happy to recommend it.

We only ate at the restaurant, didn’t stay, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were very good about allergens, especially gluten, with several options, gluten-free bread and adjustments such as jus for the peppercorn sauce. The steak was delicious, and the coffee afterwards was good too. Don’t skip the starter: the breaded goat’s cheese was phenomenal.

Most diners seemed to be enjoying their meals, but I was really disappointed with the Welsh rarebit. The grainy mustard gave it an unpleasant stodgy, vinegary taste, and it was over-grilled. The portion was tiny, just two small, thin pieces of bread, and at £10.95 it left me cheesed off. I felt punished for ordering it. Don’t choose that!
