The room was clean, and the location worked well for walking to the waterfront and Liverpool One. My stay was good overall, though there are a few things that need attention. There’s no lift, even though a shaft is there and has been boarded up, so I had to carry my luggage up the stairs. The building seems to have been converted from an office building. Parking isn’t on site either. You have to leave the car a few blocks away at another Dream Apartment Property. And if you need things like toilet paper or a bin bag, they cost £1 each, so the supermarket may be better value.

We felt welcome from the start, thanks to Alex and the rest of the front desk team, who were always ready to help. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with a nice kitchenette, a good bed, and, most importantly, reliable, secure WiFi. I’d highly recommend it.

I loved how much space the apartment had, and it was beautifully finished. It was also very quiet at night, which made the freezer stand out as a bit noisy. The Liver building is nearby, with pubs, cafés, shops, and a smart restaurant just around the corner. The Liverpool museum and Albert dock are about a 5-10 minute walk away, and there’s a bus stop by the museum for getting into the city. One thing to check before booking is the security deposit. I hadn’t been told about it by the travel agent. Mine was £50 because I was only there a short time, but it could have been £200.

We were really disappointed. My two friends and I arrived last Friday 16th August and were told we’d been upgraded. Instead, we had to walk over to the water st apartments. The twin room was supposed to have a sofa bed, but what we found was a camp bed, and the apartment smelled of vomit. The chairs were stained too, and then they said there might be an extra charge for the sofa bed. The apartments didn’t match how they’d been presented.

The location is great and the reception staff were helpful, but the way management handled our problem was a real letdown. I sent a polite email asking for the difference between the one-bedroom and two-bedroom rates to be refunded for our first night, since we’d been given the wrong apartment. I was told the partial refund would be sent ASAP. After several emails over the following week, I still hadn’t received it two weeks after the stay. I waited to write this in case the company put things right, but dreamapartments didn’t. We’d booked two nights in a two-bedroom apartment with our two-year-old. When we arrived, we learned the parking I’d reserved was at the moorfields site, something I hadn’t been told when booking it. Luckily, I’d found free roadside parking until 8 the next morning. The apartment we were given didn’t seem to have two bedrooms, just a bedroom area and a sofa bed in the living area. It was late and our daughter was tired, so we got her settled, then my wife and I slept on the uncomfortable sofa bed in the same big room so we wouldn’t wake her. I asked in the morning whether that apartment counted as a two-bedroom one and was told it didn’t. We were moved within a couple of hours. The replacement seemed fine at first, but had no towels and hadn’t been cleaned very well. There was a wet towel in the shower and a rubber glove in a bedroom drawer. We let it go because we were tired of sorting things out and wanted to see my family.
