Liverpool Stays - City Centre Rooms

The room was clean, but extremely small and cramped, almost claustrophobic. The large twin bed for two took up half the space, leaving barely enough room for our two suitcases or to stand. It might suit one person, but not two tall people with large luggage. There’s no lift, so carrying heavy bags up the stairs can be tricky. The electronic entry pads can also be awkward, so read the information sent before arrival. Each floor has a kitchen and lounge with an oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machines. There’s also a dryer room on the ground floor near the front door, though using the dryer costs a small fee. Staff were helpful when we spoke with them. The outside entrance is down a dirty alley and didn’t feel welcoming, but the stairs and hallways inside were surprisingly nice.

The location is good, and I understand that the rooms are tiny. But the deposit is £100 for a £30 room, and it still hasn’t come back after a week. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be waiting or whether I’ll have to sue them or something.

For the price, this was very good value. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the city centre or Central Station. The room was clean, as were the couple of bathrooms next door and the kitchen. It’s a room in student accommodation.

After booking Liverpool Stays through Airbnb, I noticed its 2.2-star Google reviews and thought I’d been completely cheated. But after six nights, I came away convinced it deserves five stars. The rooms are spacious for the price, the bathrooms are top-notch, and the kitchen and living area have all the appliances you could need. Customer support was excellent and always available by phone for questions. There are lots of shops nearby too. I had a great time and would recommend it, despite those low reviews, which I found misleading.
