Staycity Aparthotels Liverpool Waterfront

The lift situation was the biggest issue for us. Only one lift was working, and even during our Sunday-to-Monday stay, when it would typically be quieter, we had to wait a long time every time we went up or down. A kid bathtub in the room would have improved things too. Still, we had a pleasant family stay at Staycity Aparthotels Liverpool Waterfront. The room was spacious, and the small kitchen with hob, microwave, fridge, sink, and other basics was very handy with a baby. The cot and high chair were set up when we arrived. The location was excellent for everything we needed, and staff were friendly throughout. The secure car park cost £15 per night and was useful, although each time we arrived by car we had to ring reception to open the gate. Breakfast was fair, with limited choices, but our toddler loved the pancake machine and the coffee machine that could make foamed milk for a babycino.

The staff were really friendly, and the apartment had plenty of space with everything we needed. They’d even supplied the hairdryer, soap, shampoo and shower gel, plus a dishwasher tablet. Parking felt secure, too. It’s handy for the waterfront and nearby cafes and bars, with Liverpool One close enough for shopping. We’ll definitely come back.

That pancake machine in the restaurant was a fun surprise, and they’d thought through the little practical things too: downstairs there are boards with walking times to nearby sights and restaurants, plus a tear-off map, pens and highlighters for planning a day out. The service stood out enough that I had to write a review, which I rarely do. We loved the Aparthotel and would happily use it on future city breaks. It seems especially suited to families with young children or anyone wanting an apartment-style stay near the tourist area. We’ll tell our friends and stay again.

If I’m in Liverpool again, I know where I’ll stay. The welcome from check-in to check-out was warm, and our bedroom was spotless and really comfortable. For me, it’s one of the best value, best quality places in the city.
