I can’t comment on the rooms because I didn’t go into them, but I stopped by to ask for a coffee. The bar was closed, yet the lovely woman there, I think her name was Leander, offered to make one and let me sit in the restaurant. She was so friendly and polite, and clearly wanted to help. It’s nice to be met with that kind of warm welcome at a hotel.

The room was clean and thoughtfully set up, and breakfast was very nice. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful, and the manager took time each day to share useful advice and insights with us. It’s probably the best stay I’ve had so far, with a beautiful hotel and wonderful service. I’ll book here again on our return trips.

We ended up here at the last minute after our other place let us down. The staff were lovely, and we had a laugh with them when they came to help. The room caused no problems and breakfast was good. It’s roughly a 15/20-minute walk from most places, which was generally fine. Great value for the rooms.

They cancelled our wedding venue a month before the date because they couldn’t work with our food budget, and weren’t willing to discuss any other options. We were told by a plain, weak email, with no phone call or face-to-face conversation. From the time we booked until the last minute, trying to reach the person in charge of our event was a nightmare. Communication was terrible and the whole thing felt completely unprofessional. I’m utterly disappointed and shocked. Don’t trust them with your special day. I’d give zero stars if I could.

We felt really looked after, and the customer service was amazing, even in the middle of the night. I wasn’t sure how to use the online ordering system, so I went down to the desk for a bottle of wine, but it was no trouble at all. Our room was just right, with a roomy bathroom and walk-in shower, plenty of bedroom space, a kettle, television and comfortable sheets.
