The Halyard Liverpool, Vignette Collection

Harvey and Ronnie are a credit to the Halyard hotel, and their kindness is a big reason we'd like to return, hopefully this year. We stayed one night for my birthday and the stay was perfect from check-in to check-out. We arrived three hours before check-in time and were allowed into our room straight away. Harvey at the front desk overheard that it was my birthday and gave us complimentary late checkout, an upgrade to a higher floor and two free drinks at the bar. Ronnie chatted with us while we waited and made us feel welcome. The lobby and room were spotless. The room had great features, a very comfortable bed and a good-sized TV. We also enjoyed the complimentary minibar snacks and drinks. The shower might be the best I've ever had. The bar was a nice setting, and the staff there were very friendly.

Our 11-month-old puppy was treated like a little VIP, with a bed and bowls in the room and lots of treats. She was on her first hotel and city break, and the whole experience couldn't have been better. We also had delicious food and drinks, and the service was second to none. Ella was especially warm and kind to our dog when we met her on the second night. When she found out we were celebrating my 30th birthday, she surprised us with a voucher for two free drinks. Such a thoughtful, memorable gesture. The hotel is stunning, beautifully decorated and spotless. The room layout felt unique and refreshing, though the light switches took a moment to work out. Everything in the city centre was within easy walking distance. There is a service charge on food and drink. The service was outstanding, so I felt it was justified. Stylish, welcoming and incredibly dog-friendly. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was lovely, with plenty to choose from, including fresh food, coffee and juices. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the whole hotel felt relaxed and welcoming. At The Halyard Liverpool, the rooms are modern and beautifully designed. My bed was huge and so comfortable that I had one of the best night's sleep in a long time. The staff made me feel looked after from the moment I arrived. I'd highly recommend staying here next time you're in the city.

The rooms were modern, thoughtfully laid out and spotless, and the hotel smelled lovely. Breakfast was great, though you had to order coffees and other drinks. The hotel is in a great location, and we'd happily stay again. We had a fantastic one-night stay, 17-18 Feb. The woman at reception on Tuesday evening was lovely. She helped us get our bearings when we arrived, then went to check our room for my wife's bag when she couldn't remember whether she'd taken it out with us.
