Travelodge Liverpool Stonedale Park

The room was lovely, and the bathroom was amazing, though I couldn't work out the bath and shower controls. I thought I had turned on the bath and got a full head of boiling water instead. The beds are a bit hard but still comfortable. There's no cutlery, just two mugs and two teaspoons, so bring some if you'll need it. Shops and places to eat are nearby, including a shop across the road with a Starbucks next to it, plus a breakfast place and dominos beside the hotel.

Traffic outside was noisy, and I'd avoid staying here again if I could. The place gave off a real don't-care impression. Eventually a reluctant, rather dishevelled receptionist checked us in, and we didn't see another staff member for the rest of our stay.

The rooms look modern and the location is good, but the bed was really old and squeaky. I wouldn't recommend room 308.

Julie at reception made check-in easy and was really helpful arranging a taxi for our morning trip to the races. She was around at reception and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The room was small but modern and spotlessly clean, and the bathroom was spotless too, with a nice shower and towels. Free parking was ideal. There are a few shops and plenty of fast food places nearby, plus a Starbucks 0.6 miles from our room. I also noticed a multiplex cinema and a Bingo hall, if that's your thing. A friendly little hotel.
