Tune Hotel Liverpool

The room was tiny, with barely enough space to walk along one side of the double bed. The layout is bizarre, with so many confusing corridors and turns that each one has to be labelled to help people find some rooms. Our door lock was hanging loose, and the door had clearly been kicked in and left unrepaired. Wiring for the lights above the bed had been pulled out too. I'd only consider it if I needed an emergency hotel and it was really cheap, definitely not for a romantic getaway.

Great value for money in a brilliant location, with friendly staff. The rooms are clean, though a bit small, and the showers are hot. Towels and bed linen were clean too.

Noise has been the consistent problem on my work stays here. Some guests talk and laugh loudly in the corridors late at night. I know the hotel can't control everything, but reminders around the property asking people to keep the noise down could help. I've stayed a few times, and the rest of my experience has varied a little by room. Most beds were comfortable, though once the mattress felt too firm. Rooms and bathrooms have always been clean, which I appreciate. There have also been a couple of small issues with amenities, like a shower door that wouldn't close properly on one visit and curtains with holes on another. Reception staff have always been friendly and polite. It's cheap, central and good value for money.

Stayed one night for a concert, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They let me leave my bags there while I went shopping. It's super basic, with a double bed, shower and desk, but you get what you pay for. The hotel is like a maze, with lifts and stairs everywhere. Good luck finding your way after a few drinks! All in all, very good. I'd stay again.
