Really good value in a fantastic location. The hotel is lovely inside and out, our room had everything we needed, and there’s a lift to every floor. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I had a delicious vegetarian breakfast, and they even had bacon and sausage doggy breakfasts for our dog. Would highly recommend.

For our anniversary we had the Alice suite, with some lovely little touches arranged by request, a bottle of prosecco, flowers and rose petals on the bed. The staff were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was delicious with good portions, and the free breakfast the next morning had a wide choice. Parking was a bit of a problem, especially if you’re not very mobile. There’s no private parking, though there is paid parking outside the hotel and up and down the street.

I booked a surprise getaway for my in-laws’ 40th birthday, and they were treated like VIPs the whole stay. They even got upgraded, and the service was impeccable, from booking and confirmation through to check-in. They were treated so stupendously that saying they were well looked after feels like an understatement. I’m really thankful to Ian and the team for making it such a special, memorable occasion. I’d recommend this hotel above all else.
