The highlight was meeting the owner, Steve. He was a lovely chap, and we had a good chat when we arrived and again over the amazing cooked breakfast he made. We slept really comfortably and the shower was great in the morning. It’s a lovely little hotel, less than ten minutes from the town centre and five minutes from Trostre retail park. Highly recommended from someone who travels a lot and is often underwhelmed.

The food and refreshments were outstanding, and it was a perfect place to celebrate Dad’s life. Thanks to all the staff, especially Marius, for fitting us in at the last minute for my dad’s funeral wake.

We only came in for a meal, and everything we tried was fantastic. The fish and chicken were delicious, and the other guests said the pork and steak were good too. The chips were delicious as well. You could tell the chef really cared about making a good impression and put a lot of dedication into the food.

The hosts are brilliant and gave us helpful suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We booked at the last minute for a long weekend and were glad we did. We had the most expensive room, but it was still good value, with plenty of space, a decent-sized bed and a lovely freestanding bath that felt great after a long day of walking. If you find this place on a booking site, do what we did and book through the official site 😁

The food was a real highlight of our wedding, fresh, beautifully presented, and you could tell chef Marius cares about what he makes. We chose Llywn country house because we wanted somewhere intimate and personal, and it felt just right. The house sits in its own garden, there’s plenty of free parking, and every room has its own character, with original features and fireplaces. Everything was spotless. The staff went out of their way to meet our needs. Llywn country house will always mean a lot to us.
