I’ve visited Llangollen on day trips for years, and was glad to discover this lovely cafe just off the main street. The vibe is superb, it’s dog friendly, and the food, tea and coffee, and service were all excellent. I was almost reluctant to leave a review and let the hidden gem out, but they’re doing such a great job that it deserves to be shared. I might even make my next visit a short break and stay over.

Breakfast was the showstopper, especially the superb full Welsh breakfast. The latte was amazing too, and the staff were so lovely. Our room had a lovely bathroom and an amazing shower, and the bedroom was tastefully decorated with a view over the river. It’s an ideal location, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. The colour scheme carries through the building nicely. Highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed.

The cafe had such a welcoming feel, with lots of smiles and friendly people. Breakfast was stunning. We had the full stacked Welsh, which arrived quickly and was fantastic, especially the croquettes. We stayed for one night on 18th Feb 2026. The room was amazing, spotless, and had beautiful detailed features and a river view. Everything we needed was there for a cosy getaway. We’ll definitely come back.

The cafe looks nice and the staff were really friendly, but I was disappointed by the full breakfast. It came on a large piece of toast, which went soggy, and the plate was small enough to make the meal awkward to eat. The toast was underdone as well. The croquette was bland and short on flavour, though the other breakfast items were tasty enough. There were also too many dogs for my liking while eating. The cafe is clearly dog friendly, to be fair, but that won’t suit everyone.

The beef wrap and the savoury cheese and spinach waffle with halloumi were both delicious. We also enjoyed hot chai and apple juice with cinnamon. Friends who live nearby recommended lunch here, and I’m glad they did. It’s nothing flashy, just a pleasant place to sit on the balcony overlooking the river. It rained a bit, but we were under the covered section.
