Balham Lodge

I’ve stayed here twice and enjoyed it both times. The staff are really nice, and the rooms have a lovely atmosphere. The Wi-Fi is the one thing that could be better since it doesn’t always work. Still, I loved my stays.

I’ve been back a couple of times. It’s a nice hotel for the budget, with cheerful reception staff and very quiet nights. There’s a regular bus route, and Lime bikes and scooters are available outside if you’re feeling adventurous.

Very clean and easy to book in. My single room was small, and the loo was quite cramped. For a basic overnight stay, I’d recommend it.

My mum stayed for a couple of days while visiting me, and she was really pleased with the clean room and friendly staff. The hotel looked nice inside and out when I dropped her off late on the first night. A special thank you to the French-speaking gentleman at reception, whose name I didn’t catch. He made her feel welcome and waited late for us to check her in, which was so kind. I’ve lived in the area for a while and can confirm it’s very well located: 10 minutes on foot from the nearest tube station, a bus stop right outside, and beautiful Tooting Common on the doorstep. I’ll definitely recommend it to friends and family.
