Bermondsey Square Hotel

From the heart of London, it’s about a 15-minute walk to London Bridge and the Shard, with other historical places within a 30-minute journey. The room was good, and I especially liked the really modernized bathroom. I’ll definitely go back.

I was comfortable enough to add an extra night. My superior double was very clean and comfortable, though next time I’ll treat myself to an upgrade. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Book through the official website, I’d suggest, since breakfast is complimentary that way. There was a lovely range of tasty, filling food. The location is awesome, with a Sainsbury’s literally across the way. Looking forward to staying again.

The rooms were clean, and there are some really nice restaurants and bars close by, which earns the hotel its 2 stars. The place feels sad and tired, both in the decor and the service. The walls were scuffed and marked, and the furnishings looked like they were from the 1990s. Only one side of the bed had a bedside light. Staff always seemed too busy with something else to help.

After being scammed by Airbnb in the middle of the night in London, we came here feeling shaken. The staff understood what had happened and took great care of us from the moment we walked in. They found us a perfect room and paid attention to every detail. The hotel was wonderful, with clean, beautiful rooms, lovely staff and a tasty breakfast. It was ideally located for our visit, near many tourist attractions and well served by public transport. We felt at home and will choose it again on our next London trip.
