The bed was great for the price, well above average for a 3-star, and there were more drawers and flat surfaces than I expected for keeping my things. The room itself was tiny but clean enough, with amusing LED lighting: about five warm light sources, each with two brightness settings. Some lamps weren’t working, but the manager fixed them promptly when I asked. I got the rooftop room as usual, probably because hosts don’t like my grumpiness. Oh well, I should’ve learned to socialize better as a kid. At least there was an elevator. During the 9-10 rush, the cleaning team was using it a lot and I waited a full five minutes before giving up and taking the stairs, after staff asked me to wait longer. It only happened once, but I didn’t try the elevator again during rush hour, so maybe I was just unlucky. The Wi-Fi was too poor for me to work from there. Breakfast was decent enough and had real orange juice. After my stay I wondered why I don’t use the BW rewards program, then remembered the European rewards aren’t worth the hassle.

Parking is limited to two spots, but that’s central London-ish, and Paddington station is only a five-minute walk away. It was quiet. I’m guessing the room had recently been renovated: very swish, with touch buttons for everything. The lift reaches every floor. Breakfast was continental only, but tasty and clean.

We were travelling back from Europe to the US and stayed one night. The hotel made the airport transfer easy with its great location. The room was on the small side, but newly remodelled and clean. What really stood out was the service: they let me have a couple of packages sent to the hotel and held them until I arrived, and they granted my request for a top-floor room. The front desk was welcoming. We’d definitely stay again.

We were pleasantly surprised by this familiar, good-value hotel, especially since we had Best Western points from the United States. The staff were kind and helpful, and although the rooms were a little small, they were comfortable and worked well for us since we spent the days out and about. We could walk to Paddington Station and get around easily. We’d stay here again.

The room was small, but it was clean, comfortable, and newly renovated, with a nice bathroom, good lighting, and useful amenities. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and Paddington station is close. Bring your own shampoo, though. The hair and shower gel smelled bad and were awful to use. Service was basically nonexistent, but if you just need somewhere comfortable to sleep, this works.
