Blandford

Antonio, the manager, and the front desk staff are always helpful, and the hotel is very well placed. I love This hôtel even more after the Blandford treated us fairly when I mistakenly booked through a website that didn’t exist. I lost the commission on that fake website and on booking.com, but they still honoured the rooms after it appeared I’d booked 16 nights instead of one.

Breakfast had plenty of choice, and the room had lots of cupboard space. It was large and very clean, with a comfortable bed, working TV, fresh towels, and a good shower with both an overhead sprinkler and a flexible hose. The coffee and tea facilities were nice, though there were no biscuits. I was checked in within 30 seconds after doing the online check-in. The small lobby has a staffed reception, which is manned 24 hours. I liked the Blandford from the moment I arrived. Good price, and I was very satisfied. Nothing to fault.

A minute from the tube, with shops and restaurants all around, and very well priced for London. The accommodation was clean and well equipped, the maid service was very good, and breakfast was great. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel generally met our needs and wasn’t that expensive, but the cleaning could be much better. We found empty bottles under the bed and a Zara shopping bag in the closet after the room had been cleaned. It looked quite small but otherwise clean at first, and those things didn’t ruin the stay, though they did make us question the cleaning. Getting into a room was a problem from the start. At 3pm, an hour after check-in began, we were given one with a door that wouldn’t work, even when staff tried. The next room was still being cleaned. All of that happened in the first 20 minutes. The worst part was coming back around 11pm to a heavy smell of smoke in the room. We opened every window and went out for about half an hour. It served its purpose, but the cleaning needs to be much better.
