The menu had plenty to choose from, the food was tasty, and the portions were generous. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated, our room felt luxurious, and the bed was enormous, at least 8 foot wide. Staff were attentive and clearly well trained. The one thing that knocked off a star was the honesty bar. It was well stocked, but the measuring cups they provided were larger than a normal measure. We each had two large gins, four measures altogether, yet were charged for five. When we queried the bill, we were told the thimble measure was bigger, which explained the extra charge. Something to watch out for, especially at an honesty bar. Even with that odd bill, we loved our stay and look forward to visiting Charlotte Street again.

The film downstairs was brilliant, but the volume was so high that many of us had our fingers in our ears. [11 (c) Spinal Tap] Good speakers are great, but this is a small cinema, and nobody needs to be blasted out of their seat. What a shame to spoil the movie with such poor judgement.

Siggy was so polite and professional. There were four of us, and we ordered a mix of food and drinks. The apple crumble was delicious and the tea was lovely. Thanks for a wonderful restaurant experience, Siggy! 5*! 😊🎄

We’ve been staying at Charlotte Street for 14 years, and we love how it feels like a quiet oasis in busy London. This time, though, the residents lounge and library were booked for functions on both nights, and there was another function in the basement. Oscar’s is great, but it’s very noisy. It feels like the hotel has gone all out for commercial extraction. The rooms and service are still faultless.
