Chelsea House

The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and breakfast was included with a good range of hot and cold options. We also had a fridge in the room, free wifi, and very helpful staff. Earl’s Court Station is close by. Our only issue was the heat in the room. Even though it was October, we needed two fans, and couldn’t open the windows because we were below ground / ground level. There’s no lift, just stairs, so pack lightly.

Breakfast was a 4/5, with apple and orange juice, Nutella spread, butter, honey, four types of bread, yoghurt, eggs, and toasters with toppings. The room itself was a 4. It was good, with a clean bathroom and sheets, a small TV, and a coffee maker with cups. My only complaint is that the charging sockets were old, so I had to buy an adapter for 10 pounds.

We stayed six days after arriving at the hotel on 13th September, and didn’t run into any problems during the trip. The rooms were a little old and small, but the bathroom was clean and well designed. The staff were very helpful, and although a wider breakfast time range might have been better, it was enough for us. We weren’t sure about the location at first, but being close to Earl's Court underground station made things easier. Walking around the town, we found it felt safe and lively. The hotel generally met our needs, and we’re very grateful.

The luggage storage was great for looking around town before check-in or after checkout, and breakfast was substantial. Vegetarian and gluten-sensitive guests should find something safe to eat, and the staff seem willing to help with other allergens. Our four-person room was much tinier than it looked in the pictures and very hot. It would need at least two fans, if there were room for them, to feel comfortably cool. The bed itself was great, especially if you like a firm mattress, and the bathroom was nicely done.
