The room was filthy and unsanitary, with black, dusty, stained carpets, visibly soiled duvet and pillows, and mold. I consider that a direct health concern. The property should not be marketed as a hotel, at best it’s realistically a 1-star hostel. The staff were dismissive and unprofessional. The night auditor said he was sleeping and could deal with towels “later.” When I complained about the room, Ayad was extremely rude, dismissed the issues, and took no responsibility for its condition. This property is not meeting basic hygiene or safety standards. I’ll be reporting what I experienced to Health & Safety. It’s unacceptable for a paying guest. Don’t book here. Until cleanliness, sanitation, and staff conduct are completely overhauled, this place should be avoided.

Great location and a cute neighborhood, but the stay was shit. The place smelled musty and gross in the hallway and room, and it seemed to be falling apart. The property photos provided to Chase, Expedia, etc are years old and don’t accurately show the place at all. I noticed mold and mildew buildup in the bathroom right away. It was late, so I asked the front desk to clean it the next day, but nothing was done. Before my last night, they said I should have followed up sooner and they would’ve sprayed. Why was the room cleared for check-in like that? I had cold water for my shower both nights. The front desk said everyone had used up the hot water and told me to try again in 30min. At 1am, I said I wasn’t going to try again. I paid for a room with an en-suite bathroom, so what does it mean that hot water isn’t allocated to my room?

The location is great, with a little boulangerie on the corner, a bar, and transport nearby. The front desk people were nice, and you can leave your bag while walking around the city before or after your stay. The place itself wasn’t good, though. It was small, pretty dirty, and noisy, with uncomfortable beds. We had no hot water at all, so it wasn’t a nice stay. Luckily we were only there for one night. We won’t go again.

I needed a shower after hot yoga, but there was only a foot towel in my room. Staff said the regular towels had gone to be washed and would be back in half an hour to an hour. Nobody apologised or checked whether there was one left in a cupboard. Two hours later, there still wasn’t a towel. When I asked them to find out how much longer, they sat there on their phones. One staff member eventually called, but when I asked what he’d learned, he said the towels had to be collected and delivered to other hotels, without telling me when they’d arrive. It was 7pm and I needed to shower and get ready for work. The shared bathroom was dirty and had no toilet paper, and the rooms are like Harry Potter’s cupboard. Terrible service. I’d rather pay a bit more to stay somewhere with helpful staff who don’t ignore you while watching their phones.
