Comfort Inn Victoria

The room was clean and really comfortable, and having reception open 24 hours was great. Service was excellent. The only thing keeping it from being perfect was the trains passing every 3-5 minutes.

We had two people but booked a room for three, so there was loads of space by London hotel standards. It was new and clean, and quiet at night. The waterfall shower was a nice bonus. The lights took some figuring out, which had us laughing, but we got there. You can’t get much more convenient for the tube and national lines. I love Choice Hotels and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room 126 was damp and smelled musty, with visible mould under the window right beside the bed. That raises obvious health and safety concerns, and it’s troubling that a room like this is still being used. The hotel was full, so we couldn’t move rooms. Reception told us to email management with photos. We did that twice and have had no reply. The lack of communication or any resolution has been extremely disappointing, especially with a complaint about possible health risks.

I only stayed one night, and the basement room had everything I needed. It was on the same level as the breakfast area, and I didn’t mind not having a view. There was one window that slid upward for fresh air, but from the basement all I could see was a wall. A locked outside door seemed to lead to a very small courtyard.
