Federica at reception was kind, helpful, and full of useful information. The room was tidy and had the essentials: hair and body wash, a heated towel rail, free water, tea and coffee with biscuits, and a hairdryer. It’s a handy, reasonably priced base in the middle of King’s Cross, just a short walk from the station and Underground, with easy access around London. If you want the basics without spending too much, this place does the job. Happy to recommend it.

We found the neighborhood very quiet, with restaurants nearby and even a laundromat close at hand. St Pancras and King’s Cross are only a few minutes away, which made the location especially convenient for our three-night stay. The hotel was very clean, the towels were changed every day, and we appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee, water, and cookies. Space is limited in the room and bathroom, including the shower, so unpacking a large suitcase comfortably would be difficult. Leaving the key at reception felt a little uncomfortable to us. We kept valuables in the safe or locked in our carry-on, and had no problems.

The room was small but very clean, and the staff were pleasant. It was handy for an overnight stay before an early Eurostar. The problem was the youths in nearby rooms making an incredible amount of noise. Around 11 pm my wife went to reception, and the woman there came up to warn them. I would have gone myself, but I was asleep!

The bed was comfortable, and our room at the back was quiet. There’s also a rear balcony that would be nice in warmer weather, plus a bar and seating area. It’s very close to King’s Cross and St Pancras, and the clean room had the amenities we needed, including tea, coffee, biscuits, and both still and sparkling bottled water. Sparkling is my preference, so that was a nice touch. I had a frightening problem with the shower door. The bathroom looked recently refurbished, but when I tried to get out of the cubicle the door stuck in its catch. Its small inside clasps were hard to grip after getting wet, as were my hands, so I had to bang the door repeatedly to free it. I was worried it might break and cause an injury, since I didn’t know whether it was glass or another material. The door needs adjusting so it opens freely. That experience was awful enough that I could have rated the hotel one star, or even less if possible, but I’m being very understanding here. I’d still book again.

I had a horrible one-night business stay. We were blamed for a carpet mark in one of the rooms we’d booked, apparently a burn from an iron, and they tried to charge us for damage. There were no irons or boards in the rooms, and we hadn’t brought one. We were only there for one night with a suit bag and had no reason to iron. Who irons on the floor? There were groups hanging around the park area across the street, smoking drugs and drinking. Parking was nonexistent and hard to find nearby. Security concerned me too: there was nowhere secure to leave luggage, and guests are required to hand in their room key when going out. Other reviews say passports went missing on one occasion. Avoid this ‘hotel’.
