We had three very quiet nights, and the room, beds, and shower room were all very clean. The hotel is conveniently close to St Pancras International and the Russell Square tube and bus stations, as well as Euston and King's Cross. Breakfast was excellent, with lean bacon, scrambled or fried eggs, sausages, mushrooms, hashbrowns, tomatoes, baked beans, cheese, and ham. The staff were warm and attentive, especially Dorka. We’ll definitely stay again.

I loved this hotel and its kind staff, and I’ll book it again when I return to London. It’s easy to reach LGW and close to the nearest station, a famous one. You can also walk to all the major tourist spots from there. The route from the station is mostly along a main street, which felt relatively safe for me traveling alone as a woman. Thank you for a great time, yuka.

My family and I stayed at the George Hotel for three nights, from Thursday the 13th to Sunday the 16th of November 2025, with our one year old daughter. The room was clean and breakfast tasty, but those positives didn’t make up for the lack of care toward our young family. On our final night, Saturday the 15th of November 2025, we needed milk for our baby overnight. We’d been told to ask someone at reception in the evening, but there was no night reception and no mini fridge in the room. My husband asked a staff member, who refused to give her name when he asked, and wouldn’t provide milk from the communal fridge. Her attitude was very rude and careless. She told us it was our problem to find a way to feed our baby late at night. We felt abandoned and neglected. We paid for a room and service, but didn’t receive the service we needed. Without a mini fridge, there was nowhere to keep the milk fresh, and after sitting on the table for a short time it wasn’t suitable for our child to drink. This small British hotel in the heart of London isn’t suitable for families with young children who may need snacks and drinks during a stay. Poor management left us without basic support, including 24 hour reception for health and safety and to meet customer needs. The room also lacked enough space for basic comfort. Being a family run business shouldn’t be an excuse for poor care and service. Please do better. We don’t want another young family to go through the same thing.

We liked both the continental and full English breakfasts, and the staff were nice. Room service worked flawlessly. The room was smaller than we expected, but that wasn’t a big deal since we only used it to sleep and recover after long sightseeing days. You might get breakfast for free by booking directly through the hotel website. The bathroom was the main annoyance. We were on the third floor, and the shower had almost no water pressure. Its curtain stopped about ten inches above the floor, leaving the entire bathroom floor wet after a shower.

Natalyia was especially kind and patient whenever I needed help, and the reception team made a real effort to make me comfortable. The staff were warm from the start, and the reassuring, efficient communication before my visit helped too. The hotel is well placed for getting to transport and nearby sights. I had a pleasant, memorable stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and caring service.
