Grand Residences by Marriott - Mayfair-London

For what it costs, this place is very average. During our stay they called and pressured us to buy a room in the property for time sharing. They advertised various services, including 24 hour general services, but those weren’t actually delivered. When staff failed to provide an advertised service, they wouldn’t refer the issue to their superiors. We stayed 11 nights and made very few requests, but they still refused to bring food deliveries to our room. I won’t stay again and strongly suggest looking at the hundreds of other nearby options.

The staff were consistently warm, smiling, professional, and helpful. Nothing comes to mind that I’d want changed. We stayed for 12 days, my wife, son, and me, and having a kitchen as well as room service made life easier, especially keeping my teenage son fed. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a living room where we could stretch out after day trips instead of sitting in a cramped hotel room. It’s an excellent base for London, especially for families or longer visits. The location feels upscale and quiet, but you’re still close to plenty. We enjoyed walking around the nice neighbourhoods, shopping, eating at excellent restaurants, and stretching our legs at Hyde Park. I expect to return.

Protesters were outside yelling morning and night while I was there, saying something about Chickens in Cages. I don’t want to pay £850 pounds a night and have my sleep disturbed by grubby activists who care about chickens. Sort out your house Marriott!

A lovely hotel, with spacious rooms and a comfortable feel. The staff were both friendly and professional, and made the stay easy and enjoyable.
