A good budget hotel, with buses and the metro nearby, and Hyde Park and major attractions within walking distance. The room is small but has what you need. It’s unusual that you have to leave your key at reception whenever you go out, probably to cut down on lost keys, but it didn’t bother us.

I left after just 10 minutes and booked another hotel nearby, even though it cost more than twice as much and I wasn’t getting a refund. The place felt so decayed, outdated, gross, and disorganized that I couldn’t stand another minute. I’ve never checked a hotel room for hidden cameras before, but as soon as I walked in, I felt I should. The lift was tiny, with room for only two people, and the old red hallway carpet was filthy and lifting at the edges. The rooms had hardwood floors, but they were very small, and gaps under the doors meant there was no privacy. I’ve now read other one-star reviews mentioning frequent theft and no help from the hotel. It makes me wonder if the hotel is involved to get extra money, since nobody would want to return to this hellhole. Not Haven Hotel. Hell Hotel. Heed this warning 🙏

The room was spotless, and the staff were friendly. The location is excellent for the price, too. If you need somewhere clean and welcoming without spending much, this is a good choice. I'd stay again.

Paddington is really close, and the place was clean. We had a lovely stay, and the staff were great. Definitely recommend it.

Haven worked well as a base for exploring London. There are restaurants nearby, coffee shops up the road, and a lovely little pub called the Monkey Puzzle just down the street. Lots of central London is within easy reach. The rooms were amazingly clean, and check-in didn't involve a credit card hold. Staff were helpful and friendly, and someone is there 24 hours. There's wifi in the hotel, too. Great value if you mainly need somewhere to sleep between outings.
