The room we first had was a little too small, but Zahedea kindly arranged a more spacious one at no extra charge. All the staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and we had a wonderful first visit to Inhabit Queen's Garden. We didn’t have enough time to try the many wellness facilities, but the hotel’s atmosphere and furnishings were relaxing on their own. It’s clean, well located, and definitely recommended if you want a relaxing stay.

The room was quite cold and lacked some of the details shown online. When I raised my concerns, staff also claimed in their response that they had upgraded me. I never received an upgrade. That feels dishonest, as though they were trying to make it look like they’d made up for something. No integrity at all, smh. As a platinum elite member with bonvoy, I expected a basic welcome, but got no smiles, warmth, or general good cheer. Staff were standoffish and didn’t offer gifts, a welcome, or enthusiasm. The receptionist spoke unpleasantly, explained nothing, and communicated poorly in both words and tone. I had to ask for my welcome gift, and then they sent it as if I’d requested it, when I shouldn’t have had to ask in the first place. 😐 I didn’t feel valued. The employees lacked basic manners, attention to detail, and basic hospitality skills. What kind of hotel is this? With that monotonous attitude, it might as well be a post office.

We left with mixed feelings. The staff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and helpful, and clearly did what they could to make things comfortable. Still, the rooms and building made our stay difficult, and we wouldn’t come back. Our first night in Room 417 was easily my worst ever in a hotel. It was tiny and claustrophobic, and the ventilation/light unit above the bed kept blinking all night. There was no way to fit a baby cot, so three of us had to sleep in a very small bed. The hotel was full, so we couldn’t move that night. After barely sleeping, an alarm woke us up. It was exhausting and stressful. When I explained the problem, a staff member said it was a boutique hotel and room sizes vary. I understand that, but it didn’t help in the moment, especially with a baby. To be fair, the hotel moved us to a slightly larger ground-floor room for the remaining two nights. The bed was still queen size, which may be standard in London but is smaller than a typical European double. There was also a strong sewage or drain smell on the ground floor. With the bed close to the bathroom, it felt even more disturbing. The hotel is modern, and the staff really did their best, but after three nights we were grateful for their effort and still sure we wouldn’t stay again.

The first 24 hours didn’t go well, but the response was what mattered, and it was top-notch. Zahedha at reception and Angelo the manager turned that speed bump into a textbook example of hospitality. Everyone at Inhabit Queens Garden showed the flexibility and attention to detail it takes to handle things when they go wrong. This felt like a home away from home, far more like staying with a friend than at a generic chain. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with a distinctive Scandi style and a real environmental focus, not just “green washing.” Comfortable shared spaces make it hard to leave. There’s a sauna, a small but usable gym, a salt room, and a lovely library. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but it looked and smelled great. It’s a lovely, comfortable boutique hotel, steps from Paddington and the Heathrow link. I travel to London regularly for work and pleasure, and this is my new go-to. If you want a generic, boring chain, you know where to look. This is so much better. The staff are top-notch, and I’m sure you won’t be sad you tried it.
