Kingsway Park

The walls did a terrible job of blocking sound. I could hear people in the corridors even from the top floor, so if you want a quiet stay, go elsewhere. Apart from that, the hotel was much better than I expected for the price. Housekeeping did a great job, and breakfast had English breakfast, cereal, tea, juice and coffee. The rooms themselves were okay. I chose the place for its location near Paddington and Hyde Park, with six metro lines including Elizabeth, lots of buses, and easy walks to Hyde Park and the Arts and Sciences Museums. You can reach central London in about 30 minutes at most, and Hampton Court in an hour via District and Southwestern railway. There’s also a direct bus to a pickup point for the Harry Potter studios.

The staff were very kind and accommodating, and breakfast was fine with friendly service. The location is fantastic. But the booking site photos are fake, and the hotel badly needs restoration. The rooms are cramped and outdated, with a lot left to be desired. It seems to rely too much on its great spot. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and next time we’re in town we’ll travel farther to find somewhere better.

A compact family room had separate beds for the kids. We could park at the hotel for a fee, which was convenient, and breakfast was good fuel for a day walking around London. It’s a great little hotel close to central London.

The staff were very helpful, the service was good, and breakfast was good too. The room was spacious and had windows. It’s close to Paddlington station. I knew it was an older building with some history, and since I visited in winter, not having aircon wasn’t an issue. The shower was a bit small.
