Libere London Edgware Road

The family room was excellent for us, with two spacious double rooms connected by an internal door and a separate toilet in each. Both were equipped with everything we needed, including an iron, hair dryer, safe, air conditioning, smart TV, and coffee corner. It offered great comfort and privacy, and felt like very good value for money, especially for a family room. Libere Hotel London is very conveniently located in the middle of Edgware Road, next to Edgware Road Underground station and bus stops. Marble Arch and Oxford Street are within walking distance, handy for shopping and sightseeing. Check-in and check-out happen online, with codes for the building and room sent by email. There’s no physical reception, but the system worked smoothly and felt safe and convenient. I didn’t try the hotel food, since there are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. One small issue was noticeable noise from the air-conditioning pipes at night, which might bother light sleepers. I hope the Libere team looks into it. I liked the hotel and would happily stay again.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this one felt worth doing. The communication was clear, with good instructions for entering the building and getting into the room. It’s conveniently close to Paddington Station, which made a 24 hour layover in London easy, and the sights are just a stones throw away. They also seem to make an extra effort, with a nice little care package and signs about their commitment to environmentalism. The room was clean, but basically the most expensive closet you’ll ever stay in. The lack of reception turned out to be a much bigger problem. Nobody is in the building at all, so the experience depends on who else is staying there. The rooms are very loud, the walls are thin, and loud people made it hard to sleep. There’s no one around to manage it. Anyone can get into the building through the attached coffee shop, and the coded front door takes a solid minute to close. Someone could easily force their way in or follow you late at night. I didn’t feel safe there, and that was a huge concern for me. For what they charge, you’d think they could hire a night guard. There are too many what-if situations. If you lost your phone or the battery died, how would you get into the building at night if you couldn’t access the email with the code and nobody was there to let you in? I’m struggling to understand how this is permitted.

The team were easy to reach on WhatsApp at any hour, which I really appreciated 🥰. They explained the personal entry code clearly, and the cleaners were so helpful and lovely. My room was clean, pleasant, and had everything I needed. A little gem right in the heart of London. I’d definitely book again, thank you.

The staff made our honeymoon feel special and took care of every detail. We had everything we could possibly need in the penthouse, and it was an amazing stay. Truly unforgettable and worth it!
