London Wembley International Hotel

We stayed on the ninth floor. The room was huge, but also very dated and dirty, with stains on the furniture, an unvacuumed floor and someone else’s marks in the toilet. We didn’t try the free breakfast. The location was perfect for Wembley arena, and free parking was handy. It did the job as a place to sleep after a concert, but I wouldn’t book again.

Free parking is a bonus, and the location works well for Wembley events or getting into the City. The rooms, though, are shabby and badly overdue for refurbishment. The restaurant looks dated and is furnished like a works canteen. The food was OK, but the chef put tomato sauce on my steak even though it wasn’t on the menu and I hadn’t asked for it.

The rooms are basic, but cosy and comfortable, and the hotel is quite nice for the price. Breakfast is simple and tasty, with the option to pay extra to extend it. It’s also very convenient for football, just a few minutes from Wembley stadium, and near Wembley Park Underground Station.

The bed was awful. I could feel the individual springs, and some came off while I was sleeping. The room was like a sauna even with the AC on, and it was dirty and smelly. We found false eyelashes and a long brown stain on the bed, and there was a silverfish in the bath tub, see video. The interior is generally dingy and outdated. Breakfast was terrible too. It was lukewarm, the bacon was rock solid and cold, and there were hard chunks in the sausage. The shower was lukewarm and leaked out of the bathtub. I’d rather pitch a tent outside.
