Marlin Aparthotel Waterloo

The room was clean and practical, and the staff made us feel welcome. Late check-out usually costs £15 per hour, but when they realized I couldn't make it on time, they kindly waived the charge for my delay. That genuine hospitality really won me over. Thank you.

We booked at the last minute last week and got a reasonable price. The room turned out to be a lovely, clean, comfortable studio, with a kitchen and couch, which was a great bonus. Its waterfront view was stunning, and the location near the London eye made it easy to walk across the bridge or catch a tube or bus around London. We were also close to the first stop on our bus tour. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the friendly bartender, gave lovely service. I'd highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip.

We had a pleasant stay at the Marlin Waterloo Hotel and would consider returning. The buffet breakfast was fine, about what you'd expect at a city hotel, and the location made it easy to explore. The London Eye is just a short walk away. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout. Our upgraded room was fairly large, almost like a small apartment, with a well-equipped kitchenette and a good-sized bathroom. The bathroom speaker linked to the TV was an interesting touch. The rain shower was dirty, though, so we used the handheld one instead. The two TVs were awkward to operate because the remotes didn't fully match, and we had to unplug the power cable to turn them off. Housekeeping only came every two days, which seemed unusual for a hotel of this standard. On the first day, we spotted an old piece of chewing gum on the bedside table. We reported it, but it was never removed. More careful cleaning of surfaces, corners, and less visible spots would make a real difference. I haven't posted photos because I feel the cleanliness could improve, though it doesn't change my overall impression of the hotel.

The staff made our honeymoon stay lovely. They decorated the room and were so sweet and accommodating with our questions and requests. It's a perfect location for walking to attractions, with a bus or metro stop across the street and a convenience store two doors down. Our room was large for London, the bed was comfy, and the kitchen suited us perfectly. We'll stay here again next time we're in London.
