Park Avenue Baker Street

The hotel is split between the main reception and another building across the road. The staff were very friendly and offered to carry our bags. The rooms are small, but clean and equipped with what you need. Baker St station is only a few minutes away, and the location is excellent. Breakfast had a great selection. There are no lifts, and the rooms are on the small side, which is why I gave it four stars. We'd definitely stay here again.

For a short London weekend, this little hotel is well placed for pretty much everything you'd want to do. The rooms are kept to standard, but there was quite a lot of road noise and the shower in mine didn't work very well. I can't see myself staying here more than three or four days.

The breakfast was included each day and more than adequate, although the options never changed. The food was fresh, and the staff were polite and always smiling. We had a small problem with the shower draining, but they fixed it straight away. Having stayed at several London hotels, I can say this one had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. My Club Room was on the basement level and much bigger than many central London rooms. It had everything I needed for a business trip: a mini refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and a fairly large cupboard. The stairs down could be difficult for an older person carrying big bags, though the helpful staff were happy to assist. The hotel is brilliantly placed in central London, just five minutes from Baker Street Underground. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, along with good pubs and convenience stores. It was a very good stay, and I'd definitely come back.

What really sets this hotel apart is the service. Every staff member was friendly and professional, and seemed keen to make sure we had a good stay. The room was very nice for a night in the city, and Baker Street station is only a few minutes' walk away. We'd definitely return.
