I chose this hotel for the great London deal and its closeness to the dlr for Abba arena. Getting around was easy, with West ferry dlr station right on the doorstep. We got a premier plus room with a city view, free wifi that wasn’t the best, and free breakfast. The room was spotless, with a fridge, complimentary water and small chocolates. The shower leaked, but everything else was great. Breakfast was delicious, with freshly cooked buffet-style hot food, pastries, cereal and fruit, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The whole stay, from check-in to check-out, was exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
We stayed one night after an event to avoid the hassle of catching a train home. It was easy to get to other parts of London, with the tube just a minute away and Canary Wharf about 10 minutes away. There’s also a lift down to the platforms, which was really handy with my bad knee. The room was fresh and nicely decorated, with the usual Premier Inn basics: a double bed, tea and coffee, and extra pillows. The temperature was comfortable, and we didn’t need the heating or air con. Reception made check-in easy, and the bar seemed to stay open all night, so we could have drinks before going out and when we got back. Handy to have a vending machine for late-night snacks too. We’d definitely stay again.
The room was very clean, and the location near town and shops was handy. Breakfast was good, though the bananas were warm. The start of the stay was rough: the lad checking us in was good, but other staff were messing around. I tried calling down for an iron, but there was no phone and nobody picked up when I used my own. When I went down, I was told to get an iron and board from the cupboard and carry them up myself. The air conditioning made the room too warm, and I couldn’t set it below 17. It was just okay, and not a nice room to spend much time in.
The hotel was packed for half term, but the staff still went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. Revan (spelling?) at reception recommended places to eat on Sunday evening and booked us in for breakfast. Nicolas and Marina in the restaurant were lovely, and brought me freshly cooked vegan sausages and facon each morning. We could walk to Troubadour Theatre to see The Hunger Games, get the DLR to ABBA Arena, and explore Canary Whalf and Limehouse on foot. Superb stay at a well-located Premier Inn. Can’t wait to come back. Many thanks, Paul, Emma & the girls x
The breakfast was good, regularly refreshed, and the room rate was great. It was comfortable and quiet, with just a distant rumble from the nearby DLR. A bit more shelf space would help, and the air con kept switching off after a while. That’s okay now, but could be a problem in hotter weather. I haven’t reported it, so it might just be our room. Access into London is easy, with the DLR to Bank and the Central Line into central London. ABBA voyage was easy to get to too. We took the Uber ferry to Greenwich, and the area is well worth a visit. All the staff were fabulous and engaging, especially Nicos, who’s passionate about his work and wants guests to have the best experience possible.
