Premier Inn London Hackney

The hotel has potential, but service was very different depending on who was working. On the first day everything felt clean and comfortable, and a Romanian staff member, whose name I didn’t catch, was especially welcoming, friendly, and helpful. His manner made a real difference to us. The next day he wasn’t there. Breakfast was nearly gone and hadn’t been replenished properly. Then my friend asked a staff member with braided hair for a broom after the children accidentally broke a glass. She gave her a very rude look and took around 15 minutes to come clean it. She was on her phone while the broken glass was left on the floor near children, which felt unsafe and unprofessional. More consistent, professional service would make the stay much better.

Angela the chef and her team were so kind at breakfast and did everything they could for me. Check-in was easy, and the rooms were spacious and very clean. The location is excellent too. I’d highly recommend it, and it’s the best one for another stay in February.

The location worked really well for getting around, with Dalston Junction station a short walk away and plenty of buses nearby. Staff were welcoming, polite, and quick to help. The room had the basics needed for a comfortable stay, and the mattress was particularly comfortable after long days exploring London. There was a decent range at breakfast, though no cheese, which would be a nice addition. The carpet had a few visible stains despite the room otherwise feeling clean. We’d upgraded to the “ultimate” Wi-Fi, but the speed was still extremely slow. A comfortable, convenient stay with great service, and I’d consider coming back if the Wi-Fi improves.

Dalston Junction train station and the many bus routes made it easy to explore the city and get to Stansted airporT. We spent four nights here with the children and had a lovely time. The staff were wonderful, especially receptionist Neta, waitresses Christina and Sefina, and chef Angela. They were kind with the kids and always ready to help with our requests. The rooms were spacious and fairly clean, though a little dusty on top of the beds, and quite comfortable. I’d definitely recommend the hotel and come back.
