Premier Inn London New Southgate

The rooms were clean and quiet, and breakfast was the standard Premier Inn offering. The hotel was perfectly located for our event at Alexandra Palace, about 10 minutes away in an Uber. We got a warm welcome, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Onsite parking was secure and very reasonably priced at £8 from 3pm-11am.

The bed was really comfortable and the room itself was very clean, but the windows don’t open, so it got stuffy. Service was slow throughout, from check-in to the bar and restaurant. Later at night, staff could disappear and leave us waiting at the bar for as long as five minutes. During the meal we felt forgotten and had to ask for our food. The food wasn’t great either. We also had to request room cleaning or fresh towels at reception, which seems like a basic daily service.

Getting into central London was easy, and having Aldi, Morrisons and Starbucks right beside the hotel was handy. We were pleased with our stay and would come back. It was very busy the whole time, but Sonila kept trying her best to help and serve us quickly. Whenever we needed something, she went out of her way to assist. We’d forgotten her name until we spotted it on the receipt after upgrading our meal deal. My family and I stayed at Premier Inn New Southgate this week, and I’d recommend it to others visiting London.

We had a comfortable, warm room, and breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist when we arrived. We’ll definitely stay again. Highly recommended.
