The hotel was clean throughout, and our family room, booked for three of us, was spacious. We stayed overnight for a party nearby. Parking cost £6 for 24 hours, which was a bargain, and it’s next to the local cop shop, adding a bit of peace of mind. There’s a nice range at breakfast, including fried eggs cooked to order instead of sitting in grease. M & S, Tesco and plenty of other shops are close by. It’s easy to find, nicely located, and the staff were friendly, smiling and cheerful.

The beds were clean and comfortable, but the room smelled of old cigarette smoke despite being non-smoking. It may have been coming in through a vent from outside. The bathroom could use a refresh.

Hayley on the night team made the stay stand out. She was warm, professional, and clearly cared about guests feeling welcome, and she went out of her way to make sure things were right. The room was spotless and comfortable, just what I expected from Premier Inn. A fantastic stay from start to finish.

The location and customer service were great, but the room was a letdown. It smelled strongly, almost like socks, and there was dust everywhere, especially on the headboard. The hair dryer was very loud and didn't work properly. We stayed more than four nights and asked for the room to be cleaned, but it wasn't. We were also given an old, rough towel with a hole and stains. Very disappointing. 👎

The chef not knowing what rice was made me laugh while I was in the restaurant. Staff were nice, especially the blonde woman at reception, though they seemed short-staffed and rushed. I was there for a few nights for a conference nearby. It's an average stay, about what you'd expect for the price.
