There are loads of places to eat nearby, so there was plenty of choice for dinner. I slept well in a comfortable room, and the shower had a power setting that really worked. Breakfast across the way was good and offered plenty of options each day. On Tuesday, though, the cooked dishes took a while to be replenished, and they were cold when they arrived.

As a woman travelling alone, I felt safe here, and I'd definitely stay again. The staff gave me a friendly, helpful welcome, and the room was quiet and impeccably clean. It looked recently refurbished and had everything I needed for a short stay, including a comfortable bed, a great bathroom, and blackout curtains. There's a restaurant opposite for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and luggage storage is free.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean and well located. Southwark tube is about three minutes away, and Waterloo is around eight minutes on foot. There are handy places nearby if you don't want the hotel restaurant, including Gails around the corner for breakfast and Flat Iron, along with other options, for dinner.

For the price, it was more than satisfactory. The four of us, including a baby, had a spacious family room with everything we needed apart from a fridge. They provided a travel cot. Breakfast was reasonable and about what you'd expect. Book with confidence.
